Who is responsible

The service is operated by Jakub Prášek, Na Rybníčku 1996, 666 01 Tišnov, Czech Republic, Company ID 88784444. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to jakub@winefreak.cz.

Pilot inquiries

When you submit a pilot inquiry, we use your name, organization, e-mail address and event details to assess the request, reply and prepare possible pre-contractual steps. The information is not added to a marketing list.

• Legal basis: steps requested before entering into an agreement and the operator’s legitimate interest in handling business inquiries.
• Retention: for the active conversation and afterwards only as long as reasonably needed to document the request or protect legal claims.

Quick tasting

An unfinished tasting stays in the browser on your device. If you request the results by email, we send your address, scores, notes and selected usage context to Resend, which sends the email.

After signing in, you can save the tasting to your private My wines history.

• Email delivery is optional and does not require an account.
• Consent to marketing messages is separate, optional and unchecked by default. It is recorded with the result delivery; the address is not automatically added to a marketing list.

Guest tastings

Join through a link or access code, without an account or email address. We store your scores, favorites, optional purchase interest and notes so you can view your own result.

The host sees a wine summary from the first submitted rating. With one response, the summary reflects that guest’s rating. Private notes are not shared with the host. You choose whether to share feedback and attach your name.

To receive results by email, you must confirm the result-email terms and sharing your address with the host named beside the confirmation. They may send one offer within 30 days of tasting completion. On-screen results and saving to My wines remain available without this confirmation.

You can withdraw permission in the same browser. The host’s contact list excludes withdrawn and expired permissions, and addresses for which the offer has already been used.

• Resend sends the result email. The delivery address is removed within 24 hours after delivery, or within 7 days if delivery is pending or fails.
• Anonymous tasting records are scheduled for removal 180 days after the tasting closes. You can request earlier deletion if the tasting is still available on your device.
• Permission evidence is retained for up to 365 days after expiry or withdrawal, then removed.

Accounts and competitions

We use account details, organization membership, invitations and competition data to provide the service. The organizer is responsible for the people, wines and settings they add to TASTR.

For guest-tasting credits, we record grants and use. We retain a hash of the email address after account deletion so the same address cannot receive the free tasting again. This record is not shared with hosts or guests.

Before the pilot, we agree data-processing responsibilities, retention and deletion arrangements.

• Private scores and tasting notes are not used in marketing messages.
• You can export your personal My wines history as CSV or JSON.
• Judges, chairs and organizers receive competition data according to their role.
• Deletion and export of other account or competition data are handled under the pilot agreement. Full self-service handling of these requests is not yet available.

Providers and cookies

Vercel hosts the website, Supabase provides accounts and the database, and Resend sends emails. Each receives the data needed to provide its service.

We do not use advertising or optional analytics cookies. Signing in, security and saving ratings on your device use necessary cookies and browser storage.

Your rights

Depending on the situation, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing. Consent can be withdrawn where processing relies on consent. You may also contact the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection.
